    MPC #100 Tilt-Shift 2/22-3/6

Thanks for voting for the rookie! I am however, no rookie to a happy feeling in my pantz

I think a Tilt-Shift theme would be pretty cool. If you don't have fancy software or lenses then bummer. You can still get a decent effect from some free websites. http://tiltshiftmaker.com/
If the crowd thinks the theme is still kinda limiting then let me know.

    RULES:
    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
    7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

Here is some sick tilt shift stoke to give some inspiration

Never attempted tilt-shift before, but I suppose that's the point of the MPC. Have a few ideas, hope I can replace this with a different entry.

I'll admit I have no freaking clue what makes a "good" tiltshift image.

Ok I'll play. Always wondered what the tilt shift lenses did. Maybe I should have spent the $12 to be a member of the TShift site.

Do you have photoshop? If you do, with gradient layer masks and blur filters you really don't need any additional software. Hell, CS6 actually has tilt shift built into its blur filter menu now. If you don't I suppose that is cheap enough to realize how limiting it can be

Sorry if my original post lacked specifics. Hopefully everybody who needed it was able to find a free site that did the job. Obviously they are incredibly limiting. I figured almost everyone would have PS/Lightroom or some equivalent. I just wanted to give a option for those who didn't and still wanted to play.

Hopefully everybody had fun with this. Sounds like a first for a lot of you. I think it's pretty cool. Ill have the poll set up sometime tomorrow morning

Obviously not quite tilt shift but close.
Triathalon was happening in Mazatlan while on a bike tour so I grabbed a quick shot.

You can apply gradient blurs in LR. Here is an example tutorial. Google around and you'll find useful stuff.
