MPC #99 "Zoom" (2/8/13 - 2/20/13)

I feel like Susan Lucci must have felt after finally winning her Emmy in 1999 after 18 chances. My lesson learned? I should have bought my 5DII a long time ago.

Zoom

Verb:
To move quickly or suddenly.
To bring a subject, scene, etc., into closeup or cause it to recede into a long shot using a zoom lens and while maintaining focus.
To examine more closely or in greater detail; focus on.

Let's be creative with this theme, considering the multiple definitions of the word. I've seen some shots in the POD thread and elsewhere that would fit perfectly, and we have a creative bunch.

RULES:
1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

Because you attached it instead of uploading it to an image host and pasting the link. And for the love of god thank you... because the majority of the population don't have screens with high enough resolution to display that full size anyway. You would have ruined the thread.

made my way down to the WA state wrestling tournament yesterday to support some friends, and my restriction to the stands required a good amount of 'zooming'.
