    MPC #42: Holidays (Nov 25 – Dec 9)

    MPC #42: Holidays (Nov 25 – Dec 9)

    RULES:
    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
    7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

Since it's the day before Thanksgiving and it seems people want to shoot over the weekend, for this contest's theme, I chose "holidays"

The theme may seem pretty straightforward but I'm sure the collective here will be able to put an interesting twist to it.

Not eligible. Wish i had a tripod for this shot cuz I'd have it blown up/framed, something about it just resonates with me

Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

    Is this in B lot?
My orders came through. My squadron ships out tomorrow. We're bombing the storage depots at Daiquiri at 1800 hours. We're coming in from the north, below their radar.

Nothing special, but finally got a tripod (3011N w/ 486RC2 head) and had to try 'er out tonight. Figured would test 'er by taking a shot of Rudolph. The 3011N gets reaaaaaal cold when it's chilly out.

Thanks for the positive feedback on the pic truth and wren. I really need to start shooting pics again as I need to develop my eye. I had some far different ideas for that picture originally, but was freezing my ass off and half drunk so didn't walk the extra 1/2 mile I needed to get the shot I was envisioning.

Lonnie, you should keep playing with that concept. I like the mood/atmosphere you're going for, just needs some work
