MPC #26: Shadows - December 8 - 22

Shadows, a simple subject that I’m sure you guys will be able to make into some creative shots. Pictures can be daytime or nighttime and can be of just an object’s shadow or can be the interplay of the object itself and it’s shadow. The idea for this came from seeing a stack of old discarded wood pallets on a sunny afternoon – a fairly plain, ordinary object we normally wouldn’t pay any attention to was made interesting from the way the shadows fell through all the wooden slats.

The Rules:

1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.

2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.

3. The contest moderator will choose 5 of the photos to put in a poll for the mags to vote on and decide the winner.

4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way not an option)

5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.

6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.

7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

I'm going to have to look through what I took yesterday to see if anything has any shadows in it (probably not as flat as the light was) but this one's within the time period and does have a shadow...sort of. It's really not the main feature of the photo though.

Even though the fam is in Wisconsin for Christmas I flew home because I wasn't going to miss a white Christmas in my beloved WA. Walked around Tacoma enjoying the snow and beers and grabbed this shot at the glass museum.
