    CURRENT THEME:
The theme for the next two weeks is HOME. What does it mean to you? What do you consider your home? And what about where you live do you consider so highly? It's a broad topic, but I'm curious to see how creative and expressive everyone will get.

    A few boring examples:

Hey NPG, where was that first picture taken? Don't recognize the city skyline...

That's Denver from City Park ... you can see the same angle in the trailer for the latest Eddie Murphy film. #2 is Berthoud Pass at sunrise, 3 is Manasquan Inlet NJ, and 4 is Coors Field.

    Sometimes this is home.

Side note, this photo^^ while not great shows the low light capability of the D90, it was taken well after sunset in pitch darkness, 30 second exposure.

And I wish this was the view from home.

Story: I'm 16 and Caucasian and was born and raised in Hong Kong and all around Asia until I was 15. I'm in Vancouver now and have discovered that I don't quite fit in to this culture too well! This photo totally says home to me

Switzerland has been my adopted homeland for the last 11 years and i wouldn't live anywhere else. The lake geneva shoreline feels like home to me.

    From my bike ride tonight...

And my actual home (apartment building) in the reflection...

Interesting, almost resembles an HDR with the ghosting around the trees.

    Second submission.

Home is where these two are. Nothing spectacular about the photography, but I happened to have my camera in hand when our little guy decided he wanted to help mom put on a necklace - it was pretty cool to be able to capture the moment.

Here are a few pictures from my home for the last two weeks, and someplace I would like to eventually call home- French Polynesia.

The walk to dinner every night gives me this view:

Looking out from my front yard:

The view to the north when the neighbors have a fire going:

Entries now closed, but will consider the last photo. Should have the contest up by late afternoon today.
