Sweet. Glad to hear you've seen the light.

I was very close to snapping up some 189s off of clearance as my pair of RXs are getting a bit tired after a decade, but was tight on cash. Looks like I should have ponied up as they aren't offered as a standard ski option anymore.

This is great to hear! That new profile looks sexy AF, stoked to hear it skis as well as it looks!!

Hey N1CK, where did you put the Boot Center? I'm on the dot (-8) on my 189's. While they are ok from there, quiet and calm, easy to engage the full (quite long) effective edge, I'm not convinced I'm on the right spot. My 192 GPO are -1.5 from dot.

Now, I recently moved the bindings back on my 191 Fat BC's, to -10, about -2.5 from dot. Previous mount was also behind the dot, but not far. And they went from ok to fantastic! Feels like it unlocked the ski, and my position relative to the sidecut is bang on.

Hence, I'm considering going back on the RX as well. Thoughts, anyone?

I’m on the dot on my 184. I used to drive myself nuts sending guessing Praxis mount points, I think it was more of a variable on older skis but I’ve found that I like Keith’s recommended line more in recent years. My MVP are a hair fwd of the line, love them there. GPO are on the line but those shine at -1 too.

Do you have enough adjustment in the heels to just move the toe back, you know, for science?

Thanks for your input, but no, P15...

Another set of holes is a small price for science, though...

I like my gpo at -1 so i mounted my rx at -1 but if i got another pair of rx, id really like the newest ones, i'd go on the dot. At -1 on the rx the tail power was gone trying to finish turns. I may even go a tad forward but i remember really wanting to be on the dot

Input appreciated! But after scrutinizing sidecut center, plus whatnot, and my fallible memory of experience, I'll be moving binders back a tad. For science!

I think its the flatter tail on the gpo that still gives support at -1. Rx the tail just disappeared at the finish of a turn

So what’s the consensus on the Wootest 2.0s? Found a killer deal on one but it’s an unknown construction/flex. Hardly skied but one mount for pivots that I’d reuse most likely.

Never skied them, but here's woo's review, straight from the horse's mouth:

I only have 3 laps inbounds touring laps on the $100 pair that I picked up last year, but they're fun, and worth all of the purchase price. I felt like they were easy to ski in that 8" of higher-density pow and chop... they were confidence inspiring, intuitive. I tend to ski somewhat centered but did get on my shins more on lap 3, and they felt great there too. Cool ski, wish mine were a little lighter than a hair over 2000g/ski. Somewhat reminiscent of an Mfree 108 in those conditions.

Anyone have the GPO in the UL build and can provide a weight (with a given length)? Thinking it could be a great all conditions bc tool

I have a 187 GPO UL prototype that was MAP core but fiberglass no carbon that ended up at 8lbs 10 oz for the pair .

Thanks gents. I also asked Keith and he said that the 175 GPO UL (relevant size for me) comes in around 3375g per pair which is very reasonable I think.

FWIW, I also asked if he was still able to press the GPO in a reverse camber shape, and he said yes... GPO UL in reverse shape for touring... wooofff

Thats dd touring perfection. Shape, weight, durability, reverse camber, and the 112 waist of the 175.
    Ive often considered getting those

Day1 on my , new to me, mvp108 and theyre fkneh evvverything. Ya never know and i loved my narrower version piste jibs but that was years ago when i had those. So happy to be back on praxis as my dd and with black bases. Such a massive sweet spot on these. I cant believe ive waited this long to get a pair. Possibly my favorite praxis ski, it just does it all. Not the latest mvp so i can only imagine how good the latest is. Subtle design changes in the new ones but i think i get it. A touch smoother transition and a touch better float. They have to be close though. Fully recommend an mvp if yoire thinking about them. If youre not you def need a pair. Sooo intuitive right out of the gate.
Big ups to @N1CK for the hook up!!
    Thanx buddeh!
