I regret selling mine. Theyre great to have at the ready

Bummer is they're too small for me, too big for my wife and my spoiled kids have enough skis. PM if you're interested and we can work out a deal or I can post them in GS, but I thought I'd give you guys first dibs for the help. BTW, these come from a buddy who unexpectedly died this summer. He was a charger in every aspect of his life and I'm sure he would want them to go to a good home.

Yeah, I love my 184 rx, but that abrupt tip and tail rise is the only thing I would change, that and maybe some added tip taper.

My rx is the standard version, and I believe the Rocker is 40/18 tip/tail, I've measured it. I would prefer the 45/30 version above with the more gradual rise, that might be just about perfect.

I picked up some used gpos to try out. I'm thinking either a gpo with added camber underfoot, or perhaps this new rx would be perfect.

If anyone does talk to Keith, let me know what he says about the gradual Rocker for the rx. I'm pumped if that is an actual change.

Fresh out of the wrapping. A couple of data points.

Stock Rx 189 cm from the Discount Skis selection. The new profile according to Keith. With a neat little tail rocker, 30 cm as listed seems accurate, moderate tail splay before tail upturn. Tip rocker 45 cm as advertised.

187.5 cm straight pull, 4.47 kg for the pair, a smidge over 3 mm camber per ski.

Hmmm, I wonder if the 184cm in the Discount bin also has this new profile.

edit: according to Keith, yes, they do.

Yeah, those slender tails with a bit of rise are quite intriguing. Actually that's a feature (pintail-ish) that I've previously kinda shy'd away from. Looking forward to the experience..!

From what I see, the -8 mount put the center of sidecut pretty much under the BoF...

Mounted with P15 on the dot, tip'n tail edges dulled, waxed, and ready for action.

Is this something I need to seal? If so, what is recommended?
    TIA

Spar varnish is good protection, but it's not gonna hold up to skis knocking into each other. I'd mix up some epoxy in a warm environment so it's liquidy and paint it on thin with a small brush.

those are sick. I'm so tempted to grab those 184s. if I can move out 1-2 more pair of old skis, I just might do it.

Only one pair left of the 184 now. Wasn't there two? Maybe someone snagged a pair recently...

Fuck it. I think a bit of the search sucks and I suck. I had a bit of a convo going a few weeks ago and but now I can find it.

I'm looking for a 188 Q (or similar...convince me) for the alpine binding powder ski spot.

I'd want to mount at -1.5cm with an MNC binder [wardens preferred]

As yes, I'm picky and frugal.

    Party on

If you need any convincing, I own the GPO, Concept, Protest and Q. Q is definitely my favorite pow ski. For me perfect combination of drifty and quick in the woods, and confidence inspiring in bigger open turns. Totally disappears under me whenever I ski it.

    Excellent choice.

No convincing needed. I've got a pair with touring binders and a skinny pair with Alpine. I'm in Hoard Mode.

I haven't skied the OG RX, no. I suck at describing skis but I absolutely now get the hype with these. I have a Wren 114 in 184cm that is somewhat similar on paper at least, but the RX has, for me, perfect flex, a better tail and lower rocker tip/tail, and just the right amount of camber.
I'm going to try a light detune on the tails but right out of the wrapper these are amazing. Swiss army knife ski for places that get a lot of snow.
