I find it hard to believe. The fact that in close to 40 years she's more or less been the only contestant to get black balled makes me suspicious. I think she's full of shit.

Her episodes missing makes think there was prob a lot more aliases and appearances to make jeopardy want to forget her than she acknowledged

Totally. I don't think Jeopardy just decided they didn't like her.

Ya there’s no chance she was banished due to “personality” or some arbitrary decision about some gray area appearances

Article about the Jeopardy tapings for the final week of season 39. The Television Show Screen Writers Union went on strike on May 2nd. There is 1 more week of filming to complete the season that Mayim was scheduled to do the hosting. But she is not going to cross the picket lines as she is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. So Ken Jennings is going to do the last week of taping to complete the season.

I was glad to see we'll get more Ken, but I'm a bit surprised he'd do it. I've been watching the Masters games, but don't watch the regular show when Mayim is hosting.

I’m with AD. I don’t watch when Blossom is hosting. She is horrible. They need to make Ken full time host

You would see more of Ken if Mayim got more acting gigs I'd suspect. Not sure if she was making more money doing Sitcoms like Big Bang or doing a few days at a time of Jeopardy tapings. Maybe less time preparing and all for Jeopardy compared to memorizing lines and rehearsals for Sitcoms. She was doing another TV Show- Call me Kat and hence could not fully commit to Jeopardy when it came to filming shows earlier this season.

Those Big Bang stars made massive coin. Mayim made less than the main cast, but she was still pulling in $500,000 PER EPISODE the last few seasons!!

Plus she probably already had made enough big bank from her run as Blossom to buy whatever she would ever want

I like her acting in general. But man, can’t stand her personality hosting.

I’m surprised Ken would cross pickets lines and surprised they can/would do the show during the strike. They have writers too and plenty of other unions involved that wouldn’t cross the lines

Cat is a hairball next to my bed that I step in upon getting up in the morning. Can't/won't watch any show she is host of. Send more complaints to the show to release her to another retched sitcom.

The return of Ben and basically co-champions going head to head. Not sure what the reason he stopped after 3 wins- just stated for some reason he could not travel in April- Covid positive and had to quarantine??

That’s unfortunate for that lady, she was doing great. And she was interesting to watch. That guy absolutely crushed her.

Hannah will be back for the Tournament of Champions, maybe even again against Ben if he continues to win and continues to do better and dominates, only a few of his 4 wins so far have been for large paydays. His 3 day winnings was $69,001 in April.

Yesterday's Masters with Mattea was a case of her seeming to know a good number of questions, just a bit slow compared to Matt on the buzzer.

James and Andrew have certainly shown themselves to be the class of the field in the Masters tourney. I think Andrew has a chance to beat James, but it's slim. I just can't see anyone else winning it.

I think tonight may have been the first night I got both Final Jeopardys right.

It would have been my ruling that "Chitty Chitty Bang Bnag" was NOT answered in the form of a question.. No spoilers but listen and see if I missed something there west coasters..

So Masters is down to 4 that move on. Mattea made it and is one of the ones with enough points to move on. Don't think she has the buzzer skills to beat James or Andrew maybe also, but as the youngest of the group will be rooting for her.

You're right. Mayim is struggling--hence the delays in her rulings. OTOH if I'm watching a movie with CC on (my wife's pretty deaf) I see dialogue that I'm sure I didn't hear, so maybe you and I need to see the audiologist.

Not sure of the rules if the Host declares the answer as correct, yet they did not respond to it in the form of a question. In the first round they are supposed to be allowed to correct it, but in the double Jeopardy they can't correct it unless they start to do the question format before the Host rules them wrong.

The show also have the capability of the judges reviewing the response even on replay and making a correction right up until the end of the round or before the final jeopardy category is revealed and they make their bets. You could of course do the same if you are recording it and can go back, show probably has much more technology than you would even doing a rewind and playing again.

    Jeopardy thread- LETITSNOW

He struggled so long and to the last second on that question that I figured must have dropped a “what is” earlier and I had forgotten about it lol.

The judges often go back and rule answers correct or incorrect and make point adjustments based on that. Kind of surprised it didn’t happen here if he really didn’t lead w any form of question

Blossom as the host is terrible

I don’t know why, but this was bugging me so I had to do some sleuthing… sounds like you are correct

I’m glad it was confirmed that he did meet the form of a question requirement before he paused to search for the answer. It would have really bugged me if they had let that slide for no reason

Totally forgot about abole bernie goetz. Weird that Billy writes his music first then composes lyrics. Makes sense why fire is so unmelodic compared to all his other hits

I’m amazed that Ian Fleming actually wrote “ chitty bang bang”.

But then it also surprises me every time I see William Faulkner listed as screenwriter for so many movies.
