He was a major cunt after his 3 game streak, went online and shat all over Jeopardy, was a very poor loser, and he also has done shitty things during play like mutter the right answer under his breath and roll his eyes when a contestant misses a daily double.

    Jeopardy thread- LETITSNOW

We were away for a bit so had to catch up on back episodes and dang- it seems like there have been a lot of wins due to good wagering in Final recently.
    So exciting

I wonder if the producers are encouraging the contestants to show a little more personality. If so it's usually a bad idea, with a few exceptions. Or maybe that's just how people are these days.

That doesn’t sound improbable given how they loosen up during celebrity jeopardy

Another Final that no one got, won by wise--or lucky- betting by the second place guy. No-right-answer finals are very unsatisfying.
And IMO Sometimes a Great Notion is a better book. Less formulaic. But Cuckoo's Nest made the better movie.

glad to be back to regular shows- but the players last night stank up the place- that was some bad final betting by the leader going into final

Can you imagine waiting months as the returning "champ" to have it end like that?

I found him a bit odd, but not overly annoying.

He was more annoying to me initially but didn’t mind him towards the end. Didn’t really seem like a ToC candidate though

Am I the only one who gets annoyed at players who start at the bottom of the board or randomly all over? I hate it because they flounder at easy questions about Romeo and Juliet because they haven’t figured out how the category works.

well it's smart play to go for the bottom rows because the daily doubles are more likely to be there than on the top rows (never in top row)- I actually wish they would evenly distribute them, including in the top row, so there'd be no incentive to start down low (I don't think? they are easier even now if they are on higher-up rows, but if they were that'd be even more incentive to start on top rows)

as far as jumping around, Arthur Chu pioneered that technique several years ago in an attempt to throw off opponents- people hated it at the time but I know I've gotten used to it, not sure how effective a technique it is though

Who me? Nah I am the next Gloria.

As far as strategy, pick a category you know well and run the table that way there is something to wager if a daily double is snagged. This especially should be the strategy for the person sitting back in third. Too often they are one and done starting on the bottom of the board.

Watching the Masters Tourny--some of them seem to have had enough of Jeopardy. James, Matt, Amy--their hearts didn't seem to be into it. My favorite won.
