Yes, I agree. Should spend a few of his dollars and get a suit coat or sport jacket that fits and is not bunched up around his neck and ears even... Not sure a tailor could even fix that mess he has been wearing.

He mentioned that he dress up as Penn of Penn and Teller for Halloween one year.

I don't think they get the money right away.

Ken Jennings probably doesn't carry around that kind of cash (well maybe).

Plus, they tape 5 shows per day, so not any time between shows to pop out to go shopping.

Chances are that suit coat was provided by the show wardrobe department anyway. Lisa said one of the reasons she was glad she lost was the show runners wanted to make her wear a sports coat for the next day if she won.

Knew the first part about 5 shows one after the other (as does any Jeopardy fan or knows anyone that went on the show)

Do not know if anyone as ever stated they supply different outfits from wardrobes of the show before, as some that tried out or got on discussed just switching up and they suggest bringing things to change up from their own closets?

    Here’s the article:
    https://www.newsweek.com/lisa-sriken...-1792246?amp=1

“The final outfit I had with me, they were going to make me wear a blazer with it..”

So I guess the contestants supply most of the outfits, but the show runners can add extra bits like jackets and ties and such.

Wonder if they were concerned with the top for some reason, and wanting to cover or even something with the stage lighting? We will probably never know...

Great rounds of play and then anyone could win going into Final Jeopardy depending on the bets and all made for a very exciting night. The retirement of the suit coat is really an added benefit with the defeat of the champion before 5 days. Rachel was really pleasingly surprised of course and Brian's bet was just for a possible tie if correct and Rachel bet all her money and also got it correct.

As much as one hates to lose a champ that bright and easy on the eyes so soon either of the fellas were worthy and charismatic in their own way.

It drives me bonkers when there are Two players far ahead and obviously both have to go almost all in while and the third doesn’t just stand pat and take the win if they both miss. The guy tonight would have easily become champ if he had just bet zero

I guess it all depends on how confident they are with the category. All missed the final question tonight, and as you stated any of them could have bet much less and possibly pulled the win out. Deb was unfortunately a won (one) and done by going all in...

    Jeopardy thread- LETITSNOW

I was griping mainly on player in third who had no chance other than huge bets and misses by the other two and keeping his own cash pile. In his situation, it’s idiotic to wager even a dime.

I said the same exact thing to my wife! But I also said, the guy played so poorly, no surprise he made a dumb bet at the end.

That’s true. He played so badly I probably would have been equally annoyed if he had backdoored his way into being a champ

I know which one you were commenting on. He bet based on trying to maybe get the extra $1000 for second place instead of just $1000 for the third place. He had little to gain if one of the other 2 would have gotten the question right. But not having a run away makes for all sort of interesting bets- to hopefully have a shot at winning.

His bet wouldn’t have made any difference at all. His only hope is if they both whiffed and bet large - which was fairly likely because of their tied scores. His betting anything was just a stupidly bad idea

I like the new super champ chick dominating tonight again. France surrenders again (I know but her Twitter story was painful so idc)

I hate having to endure blossom. I thought she was only doing the specials but maybe since Ken is (rightly) doing the masters next week they threw her this bone

Double up with the regular Jeopardy game and another round of the syndicated show with Hannah and 2 new competitors. And first ever Masters tournament. They earn points (3 for first place, 1 for second place finish and nothing for coming in third place) and have a round robin format. They also are revealing for the first time ever the location of the Double Jeopardy clues before the game (for the audience only of course) if you want to look and know where they are hidden.

There are a few discussions on this (of course all speculation):

And a discussion from a few months ago about Brad falling out of favor and not just the Masters but happened some time previously:

So Hannah had no glasses on tonight- Contacts or went without them maybe? Another interesting match.

The round robin Masters Tournament had a few high points and was a really interesting final Jeopardy as part of the fourth match (second show on in the hour).

Just catching up on the masters tourney after being out of town and I am loving this. So many characters I am so MF psyched to see again- I had almost forgotten about Sam Buttery
I dig the new starry black background but how about the slightly different riff than usual? It throws me off like it’s the Upside Down
