that final was painful yesterday- the girl said "the hollywood sign" instead of "L"- cost her the match when the guy beating her didn't know it- that's gonna hurt

"During Pope John Paul II’s 1987 visit to Los Angeles, pranksters covered up this letter in a local landmark"

Yeah, that was sad. She was cute, too.

The clue was worded clearly, but I could see making that mistake under the pressure on stage.

I just so happened to walk into a lobby where that was on in the hotel bar yesterday evening and half of the people started yelling out "Hollywood Sign!"

That answer was written by some dork that writes LSAT questions for a living. "I'm sorry, you missed the call of the question".

i also answered 'hollywood sign' loudly, but I can't read

granted most people can read, how easy of a question is that for final jeopardy though? I mean the show is literally filmed there too!

Both my wife and I had it nearly instantly. I was pretty surprised only one of the three contestants got it. Seems like they all got to the Hollywood sign, but couldn't quite get to the finish line from there.

Yea I feel like the clue crew added in the little trick for the Final question because it was a second chance group
We got it but I have been duped in the past on those style of questions so I am more aware of them now

Also why did they have Landmarks as the FJ category two days in a row? That was weird.

Watching last night made Norm MacDonald’s version feel underplayed

And that was a semifinal match.

I might have to watch the one on 1/16. Rachel Dratch and Mo Rocca are both in it and the other girl (Heather McMahan) is also a comedian. That's got to be entertaining.

I would love for Drach to play the match in her Debbie Downer persona

Tournament of Champions time. First game last night was a runaway.

I enjoyed the second chance tourney as well

Anyone know why the Wes Anderson looking dude was seated in a chair? Didn’t know if he had a disability or if that was ever an option for players to sit.

That last game though, by a dollar. I'm just stoked to see Yogesh lose.

Troy was in a chair last appearance also. I'd assume some sort of back issue or handicap of some sort that does not allow him to stand for the time of the filming. He sort of is leaning and now can see the chair back. Maybe he had one previous and was not toward the side- but all speculation and no inside knowledge.

That was a great game and nice to see Ben make the smart bet to sneak a win. Troy seems like the strongest by far to me tho

I read that he has aortic stenosis and that’s the reason he gets to sit

Ben bags another come from behind victory w only correct final and savy wagering. Kind of rooting for him since he seems so low key and goofy

Weird. Troy's bet was calculated to be $1 more than Yogesh doubled--ordinarily a wise bet but which left him one buck short of Ben doubled. What are the odds? I know I wouldn't want to play poker with Ben.
