I never even considered that as an option, always parked on the other side of 70 with the longer approach. I’m assuming parking there is a work perk for you or do they just not care who parks there?

They care, and it's not allowed technically. But they know me, so do the green shirts on the other side who don't want to face a lawsuit from me from refusing to pay. Ask teleMike. This has been going on for decades. I'm super respectful though and park way down and am basically invisible. I don't recommend you try it or you will find a fat ticket or your car might not be there when you get back to it.

Right on. I refuse to pay to park on the other side but so far nobody has said anything when I walk past. Parking over by cdot has gotta be nice tho, that cuts the approach way down!

very elevational snowfall in breck, anything on the lower mtn was sparse even beside what the wind moved around. Tbar and upper mtn was $$$. They were on peak 7 today but said no go so maybe tomorrow.

There was a lot of fomo, mainly by me! Stupid lift lines, don't these people have jobs? Beautiful weather, legs are tired.

You old fuckers aren't on social media here. This is just a GenX and boomer Usenet clubhouse with a better interface.

Hear traffic to copper backed up past officers gulch. I almost went there but I had to work at 11 so for a real quick sesh like that I like to stick to pali laps. There were some deep pockets and some firm tops of moguls that were mostly easy enough to avoid but everything skied very well even the more protected areas.

Got my wife out for her first backcountry turns yesterday at CP. it was absolutely dumping. She kind of gave me permission to get her a setup. More skis!

Going to be braving the madness at steamboat this weekend with my old man and kiddos while my wife is out of town.

Snow at Copper was legit to the bottom of my knee. Nice skiable quality too. Good thing I came for first chairs because it was tracked out so fast. I was pushed into skiing wooded lines by 1030am, should have brought fatter skis for that. I took one lap over the back looking to load three bears but did not wait around for control work to finish. Might be really nice back there today. South facing got a LOT of sun on it and I'm sure is wrecked now.

My skis need wax and Alpine in Leadville wanted $35 and I always tip. I have an iron, stop being lazy. Actually I can get it done for $20 at Cooper, maybe I'll just do that. /random

One on Trelease's main face at the same time. SAR had a busy day up there.

Hope the weekend finally gives the state a break in its streak of fatalities.
