A Lance Mountain Jr. was my first real deck. Thinking of picking it back up again, seriously. I even pulled my old board out of the closet. Damn those wheels are tiny and coned.

Anybody else remember when you couldn't BUY milk crates in stores? People stole them from behind grocery stores and restraints. You could actually get in trouble for being caught with one.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

In 2000 I was drinking ridiculous amounts of Malbec in Mendoza before it took off. I didn't get down further south till a few years later.

Pretty sure we chatted about Berlina at a house party outside of Bariloche around that time. Forget the mag’s name that hosted. Keg of La Cruz (?) as I recall.

enlosandes After this many years, I forgot that the folks I met there were actually mags. Shall I send a pic of a La Cruz sticker next? Damn, old. Fack.

I still have my snow rangers. I can’t believe I thought those were fat at some point lol. They were good pow skis but they sucked inbounds, even back then. Plus heavy. We are so spoiled now.

Snow rangers. Game changer for me. Being a large ape, I struggled in pow on many 207cm skinny sticks. The ranger was amazing. Years later I borrowed a pair and dropped out the back gates and suffered. But they were great in the day.

Ironically I picked up a pair of explosives on clearance at Garts but never used them as much as I should have since they were embarrassingly fat. Lol.

The white top sheet super nobis really changed my game. As well as the orange legend pro. Same ski for the most part. But an awesome charger.

Prior skis like bionic arc and tnc comp and rc4 were always tough for me in deep snow. Watching old ski films lately I am impressed how people like plake and Schmidt and the gaffneys could rip on those.

A strong sign I’m getting old..After a lifetime of independent hairball travel, my next vacation is at an all inclusive resort.

This fucking pinched nerve in my neck making my left arm feel like it is doused in gas and lit on fire is a good indication.
I slept maybe 5 hours in the past 4 days. Finally got the tele doc to get me some steroids and it is rapidly improving.

One thing that really bugs me is how dependent I am for vision for balance. Makes skiing in flat light and whiteouts a lot tougher than it used to be. And storm skiing was always my favorite.

Here's a good one....try sprinting. My body laughted at me when i tried to do it on a recent trail run.
Also practiced baseball with son recently. He wanted to hit some high pops to me in the outfield...when i tried to run under them my vision was bouncing all over the place trying to track the ball. Don't remember that happening in high school.

I feel old, I have been on the road for about three weeks, and one of the things I am most looking forward to is my Waterpik.

(Just saw I can get a portable cordless one!)

I saw Elton John in 1975 and many others, and think I have OG beat in age, but, no surgeries or other issues, so doing great getting all the over 100 days of skiing, and over 70 days of golf in I can feels great! His excellance in woodworking is freaking amazing to watch!
