Usually, drilling too shallow or having excess debris in the hole causes a spinner with not much torque at all. I'd make sure to thoroughly check and compare rear hole separation on ski and binding.

I had a template being off with like 0,5mm on an Attack and it caused the screw to get squeezed in the binding hole, could not get it completely set even with really high torque.

A quick rub with a drill in the problem direction in the binding mount holes cured the situation.

Mounted my of fucking Down skis 196 countdown 114s and 202cm showdown 105s.

Mount in the showdowns with metal in them felt bomber.

Had two screws in the all wood countdowns not spin but never firmly gripped or hit the stop point. I did tap them and wonder if I went two far with the tap in those holes sine the wintersteiger tap is longer than needed for a 9mm hole. Hoping the hardman epoxy will hold them well enough to not need coils.

Feels good to know how it was done and save serious $! Invested in the proper bits and tap and still was cheaper than one mount.

The only thing I'd add is that, when that happened to me recently with some Dynafit bindings and their annoying Torx screws, I had to use a t-handle driver to finish the job and it was only a matter of better leverage, no threads stripped. The standard driver (non-ratcheting) didn't have enough purchase. Or my 190-lb frame was too weak.

Well, I followed everyone's suggestions and the heel plastic trim piece obviously does not fit flat and tight against the ski like the toes do. The metal frame where the screws go through is flat against the holes, so I will just use a little clear caulk to seal up the little gap around the plastic heel piece.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Mounted the fuck out of some of my own fucking skis.

I’m sure this is well covered in the shift thread, but make sure you don’t over tighten the gasket screw on the toe piece. It’s not supposed to be flush, so if you’re looking to tighten until it’s flush, you could easily get a spinner.

I avoided a spinner (barely), but added some 24 hr marine epoxy and fiberglass to the glue in that hole. Just for the added peace of mind.

Hoping for the maiden voyage tomorrow.

    Looks timeless.

Enduro without carbon. 3/4 stiffness. Really like the feel of the skis. Damp and light. I don’t think enduro core makes it an obligatory med flex. Stiff flex at 9.5 lbs might be too stiff for the weight.

    I’ll report back
