I don't get it. You say it could have been fatal, but you're protecting the manufacturer? Is your refund more important than someone else's safety?

You bought what you bought, you used it until it broke

so now you are dealing on a warranty issue

whether you can get all your money back or just get warranty is up to the retailer

the situation strikes me as WAY too much drama at this point

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times: read the goddamned directions first. You waited two weeks for shipping on the your mail-order bride robot, you can take 5 minutes to read the quick start guide. Everyone thinks they’re SO smart.

    Brand New Gear Failure

Seriously... no one gives a fuck. How are you going to use this OP to aid in your return?

Show them this thread and say see?? “I never disclosed the products name or your shops name — now give me a full return”?

    I just don’t get it.

If you’re trying to help others out then talk about the product failure and let us make adjustments with our gear if we see fit.

    Props where props are due.

    I love good mags.

We need to promote and encourage the good mags like you more often on this forum.

Seems like lately the crappy troll mags get all the attention.

Trying to actively reverse that trend.

While I am hoping that nobody is going to take a plunge into the abyss of death by failure by unknown gear - especially a Sybian malfunction, that is just too brutal - I would encourage a bit of patience. The OP has already stated that he was going to post photos and explain what happened. The thread started last night.

Is a 24hrs delay ensuring a proper presentation with photos that is hopefully more objective as feelings have calmed and the initial surprise & discontent with the gear failure has passed, really that much to get all worked out over? It will hopefully prevent confusion, especially at a time most people haven't even started skiing yet and are aching to go.

While I might be one of those crappy troll mags mentioned by Reckless above, even I do not immediately go name calling or demand that a person drop everything he/she is doing (with no insight into if that is even feasible) to provide the required info NOW. That is pretty poor etiquette as well. Then again, I am not the moral police here - I am just a bit taken aback by the some of the replies in this thread.

    Truth.

The only way two of something break in the same day is user or installer error.
