Scotty needs our thoughts and prayers now more than ever.
Praise Him for He has Risen

Accident footage

Ha! I'm still waiting for someone's cell phone video or bodycam footage to come out.
Meanwhile Scottie went and got himself tied for 3rd and only 2 off the lead, on no practice and after getting booked in jail and, as 4Matic states, dragging cops around with his car.
What a day.
I still call it The Jake.
Course is too easy, and it's private. Heard the members didn't want to let the PGA toughen it up. GFY with a hybrid.
Shuttle bus running over people.
Scottie getting arrested by a power-tripping cop who probably never got to kill a motherfucker in the Middle East. Well, it is KY, so probably just a dumb motherfucking cop.
Bye, Bye Valhalla.

So supposedly there's no body cam footage with several cops in the vicinity... how convenient. I'm slightly amazed they haven't just dismissed charges by now. The cop "attaching" himself to the vehicle is obviously a nut-job. Like WTF are you doing?
Cop perspective:
“I was involved (from the police officers’ side) of the very same kind of incident that Scottie Scheffler encountered many times.
I was a reserve police officer for the Portland Police Bureau for 22 ½ years and retired as a commander. Like Los Angeles PD (level one) reserves, I had to go through all of the training and was given the honor to protect the citizens of Portland but also burdened with the awesome responsibility of carrying a gun and the other tools that officers keep with them on duty. I worked over ten thousand hours on the street out in a police car with a badge and gun, took every kind of call, and caught bad guys.
Whether it was blocking an intersection for a parade, an accident, or a crime scene; I was amazed sometimes at how normal, well meaning, average citizens cluelessly would come up to an intersection, see red and blue lights and me with my hand out saying stop and they would stunningly ignore my orders and drive around my car, or even a barricade.
After detaining them as a result, I would hear how they didn’t think it was meant for them because their office building was just on the other side and they were late for a meeting. Or, they were there to pick up an elderly mom that wasn’t mobile and they ‘had’ to get through. One time, it was a kid who was being forced by our diversion to go over a bridge as we needed to clear an area and he said he ignored me because he was being directed to go over to an area of town where he didn’t know the roads (on the other side of the bridge).
Never mind we were protecting a fatal crime scene.
Scottie was likely seeing police like he does every time he goes into a tournament and the ensuing chaos of a lot of people coming in and out of a big event. He had no idea a pedestrian was killed and was likely thinking about getting to work and all of the hubbub was normal. He’s a player and this tournament and chaos is so people can watch him play.
But, If a pedestrian was killed and there was still an investigation occurring, that was a crime scene. It’s critical the responding investigators have all the space to fully investigate the death because someone died.
No golf tournament is worth a family not getting real answers as to why their love one was killed.”
All of that is great, save for the fact it is utterly useless.

I was there Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Not much they can do with the weather they've had. Rough is actually pretty brutal but the fairways and greens are really soft. Slowest major greens I've seen. You can see that from some of the shots they're playing...hitting into backstops with spin and the ball not making it halfway back to the hole (13, 18). 2nd hole is a great example. Walking it on Wednesday, I thought for sure it was going to play at 4.5+ yet there's lots of birdies being made.
The road where you enter Valhalla is a major thoroughfare. They should have closed it but it gets so much traffic, there would have been a huge uproar from the locals. They don't seem as enamored with golf as they are with horse racing.
TV cannot convey ho much vertical there is on the course. We walked a lot and my legs are sore from all the up and down. Landing area on 18 is well over 150 feet below the teebox and then it gains most of that elevation back up to the green.
Oak Hill (last year) was better for spectators.
Saw a huge Rat Snake as we were leaving on Thursday...right along a busy walkway. It scared the shit out of a lot of people that cannot identify harmless from poisonous.
Koepka out of it so my weekend is good.
So range-finders allowed? This new?
For fuck sake - he didn’t know
Yes he is used to being treated differently

Looks like they’re gonna drop everything. They should shitcan the navy seal of traffic enforcement too.

That’s the rumor I’ve heard today, and frankly the right one given that not one of those cops can corroborate the arresting officer’s statement with body cam footage, despite being required to activate theirs at the initiation of an interaction with someone, as outlined in the policy rules provided by the LMPD’s public relations officer Saturday.
Probably wanted to let the Tour leave town and have everyone mentally move on to something else before announcing the charges are dropped (at 5pm no doubt).
