Lack of acceleration up inclines is a big one too. Flatland drivers basically.

I have to admit I read this thread as a guilty pleasure
...tricks deserve applause, style deserves respect
The left lane thing gets me every time. I've had a few incidents of late where I come up on some asshole in the left going 55, no one in the right, and I sit behind them flashing non-stop until they move over. Sometimes it's taken 30 seconds haha. Other times they don't move (probably to annoy me) so I kick it into lower gear, pass to the right, with my horn blaring and cut right back in front to them. I really need a louder more intimidating horn and maybe the LED sign someone mentioned.
Seattle has better traffic? News to me.

So which major city actually has some “good” drivers?
They seem to suck everywhere.
Maybe La La Land, where everyone drives 60 in the right lane, and the left lane is a consistent 65.
Seattle traffic sucks, but this thread is about traffic going to the ski hills and it's a million times better and less frustrating up here. For example, I usually average 60-70 mph heading there on the weekend. It's usually an hour door to door. It helps that their are less skiers, four lanes and during snow storms they require chains on anything other than AWD with snow tires.
Around here the cops will ticket you for road rage if they catch you doing that shit. They have all different cars and trucks with regular plates you don't see the uniform until it's too late

^^ I’m surprised SnowShow hasn’t suffered an aneurism yet on a Sunday afternoon back to Denver…![]()
I don't drive Sundays![]()
^^ man speaks truth. That said, there are no ski traffic issues in Denver, if you are flexible in terms of work. I'd have a LOT harder time avoiding Seattle in-city traffic.
What I'm really envious about when it comes to Seattle and skiing (notwithstanding this winter) isn't the lack of ski traffic -- I know how to manage it here, more or less -- it's the extensive and more accessible night skiing. I would love to hop in the car after work, drive an hour, and make 3 hours of turns. Fuck, that would make me happy.

I used to do that shit too, but now, I've started fucking with the agro drivers who think that they are more important than everyone else on the hwy. It's actually very fun, and very passive aggressive! Much more satisfying than just regular driving for the sake of driving. Sometimes I get on I70 and just drive 45 in the left lane till someone passes me in the right, then I gun it, and block them with the next car in the right lane and slowly pass them. Then I'll put on my blinker like I'm going to get over, but I get over all slo-mo like. It's fucked up I know. But 20 years of battling that road, if I wasn't doing that, I'd be the other guy.
Have you heard of this new ski area in CO called KEYSTONE? They have night skiing in CO and it's totally radical! I mean, it's no Winter Park, but it's ok.![]()
The night skiing outside Seattle, is actually pretty weak. Vancouver however, is pretty good, and the view of the city makes it.
I70 isn't stopping when there is no new snow. Seems like cdot isn't the problem. Pow starved skiers are the problem. Haha
