Eric Pollard Leaves Line Skis to Start Season Eqpt

While we're sad to see Pollard leave Line Skis, we can't wait to see what comes from his new brand Season Eqpt. Evo photo.

After 21 years with Line Skis, Eric Pollard is on to the next chapter in his career. According to an announcement on his Instagram, in August of 2019, the collaboration between the two came to an end. For the last two decades, Pollard designed 48 pairs of Line Skis, with hopes of challenging the status quo in skiing. Two of his most famous skis are the Sakana and Sir Francis Bacon, which exude Pollard's artistic approach to the sport.

The change appears to be bittersweet for Pollard, and he writes, "I have nothing but love, respect, and appreciation for the people I've had the great pleasure of working with at Line Skis." However, the skier is already working on the next radical idea: Season Eqpt. It's a new brand catering to both skiers and snowboarders. Thanks to an exciting collaboration with Austin Smith and EVO, the two snow sliders have pooled their experience and knowledge to create products that celebrate our common ground. Pollard argues that both sports are equal, and it's time we come together as one community.

Stay tuned for an exclusive Q&A with the brand that will dive more into the new skis and snowboards.

It was reported that the man enjoyed cat stew, and as a result, was soon hauled off to the asylum and forgotten. Until now. Rumor has it that he has escaped. Remember JHMR’s Bottomless January of 2020?

Japan or Jackson? Caite Zeliff sampling the Japow like conditions at JHMR last winter. Nic Alegre photo. Every so often, a storm cycle comes through Jackson Hole that is so marvelous it’s cemented in local lore. They’re the kind of weather events that crusty ski bums will tell you about after one too many shots of whiskey. They’ll get this far-off look in their eyes and exclaim, “Remember the January of 2020?” For those of you who weren’t in Jackson during that magical month last year,
