I think his 32% three point shooting every year for 3 years is a challenge in today's NBA. That's what makes it sketchy for me. 3 and D without the 3.

That was worth the contract as far as I’m concerned.

well most guessed the Celtics would re-sign Jalen Brown to the supermax, but the richest deal in NBA history?! Damn!

304 mil guaranteed over 5 seasons. queue the dribbling to his left jokes lol

Brown is max worthy but not supermax. That contract is really going to limit Boston's ability to fill out the backend of their roster in the coming years. It kind of sucks how the supermax was supposed to help teams retain their guys but now it's almost a punishment with the current cap structure.

Seriously? I was actually hoping they'd get rid of Brown.

Every new max contract is the richest in NBA history. Their options were SuperMax, trade him for .50 on the dollar, or let him walk. Such is the reality of today's NBA.

They really need the difference between a supermax and a max to not count against the cap and second apron luxury tax. It's so obvious and yet... here we are.

They don't need both Js. Tatum is the better one.

Lol. I’d love to see an all-toxic decade team. Surely he’d be on it.

I don't know, I'm pretty excited to see Porzingis rolling with the talent they have. Would have rather it was Brogdon than Smart going out, but it's a talent upgrade either way.

Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest yesterday during practice and admitted to the ICU.

While something like that is horrifying as a parent, I have to wonder how this will affect LeBron’s desire to keep playing in the hopes of playing with Bronny in the league one day. I’m not sure id want my son to keep playing knowing how high cardiac arrest incidents are among those athletes under 40 with congenital heart conditions (assuming that’s the case here). Anyway, glad he’s ok from what it seems.

That's the thing. Basketball-wise I like Brogdon better than Smart, and I think he makes the team better than Smart does. Question is, can he play more than 55 games and will he stay healthy through the playoffs?

    Dunno.

However to me it was always Smart vs Grant Williams. Keep one. We got rid of both.

earlier I saw reports that he was being demoted to second team, maybe he complained about that so they cut him loose?
