Totally agree he doesn't get the credit he deserves due to his shortened career. He took a long hiatus to heal up then had another mini run with Boston as a sixth man.

Broadcaster, Blazer and deadhead. He brings all of them a bad name.

Who is the "greatest Blazer ever" is its own question; longevity plays a role in that. But Walton at his best was better than those other guys.

Hard to argue against Bill, yeah he’s kind of a dick. But, he brought the only championship in “recent” memory. Clyde was good, but he ran up against those pesky Pistons.

See, those things are the reasons I like Bill Walton.

God I hate Ainge. He owns the sixers (commence fultz trade PTSD ). Put the most troll like poison pill in the B Ball Paul offer sheet. If his team gets to (not necessarily wins ) the conference semis, his contract is fully guaranteed.

Good business bc the rebuilding Jazz are less likely to do so, and by doing that to match the so
Sixers will owe an extra $14mm in luxury tax, and every sixers fan recognizes the subtile dig about the second round. God I hate Ainge !!!

I don't have much of an opinion on him but that Paul Reed contract is a masterclass middle finger to a former rival.

Sixers not matching. Dude is 25 and still can't shoot, dribble or pass. Nurse doesn't need the headache teaching. Mamba is now the backup. From what i watched in the summer league, there could be a couple guys who will get big squad minutes.
Plus they resigned trezz....who i thought got screwed by doc for limited playing time.

So much for that...sixers matching offer

Pistons sign Isaiah Stewart to an extension, 4/$64M. Am I missing something? Doesn't that seem like a massive overpay? BobMc?

Yeah, it seems weird. He can play D and score a bit. he's a starter. if he could shoot he'd be worth the money. But he's been a 33% 3 point shooter all three years in the league. I know he shot well the first third of the season, but then he regressed. Seems like a big bet that he can get better from the arc.

Just seems weird, when Grant Williams, who can guard bigs well, can switch 1-5, and play a small ball 5, and already shoots really well from deep, gets 4/$52M. But I don't watch the Pistons so only know what I read and the box scores.

Yeah - Seems like a questionable way to get over the min salary threshold.

I don't know how anyone watches NBA Summer League. That shit is open gym level crap.

"Oh look its Wemby, the greatest thing to ever come out of France since wine! You have to watch him brick 75% of the shots he takes against NBA has-beens and also-rans and never-will-bes! It's must see July TV!"

    - Steven A. Probably.

Come on man, they give rings to the winning teams....... All I have to say is Jerryd Bayless was summer league MVP.

I watch a game or two just to see what the new rookies look like since I haven’t seen them play (since possibly in college), but otherwise you’re right.

I’m ok with the deal. Beef Stew plays hard, he’s a good defender and by all accounts a great teammate. I’d much rather management spend money on guys they know instead of reaching for a free agent.

Put me down as enjoying watching summer league. I like seeing the new guys from all the teams in the draft. It’s summer and I don’t like watching MLB, there ain’t much for sports on TV.

$16M/year is nothing in the NBA nowadays. Good deal for the pistons.

Especially in the next few years. I believe the new CBA allows for an up to 10% increase in the salary cap per year and the report I heard is they expect it to hit the max every year for at least the next 5ish years.

I like the signing of Bball Paul. Also Trezz is 29 and still can’t shoot, dribble, pass or jump anymore. What are they going to do with Kork? Maybe nurse gives him some burn to try and get his value up?

$16M isn't nothing, that's solid starter money. It puts him around 100th in the league, with 30 teams. Is he the 4th or 5th best player on a playoff team?

Still seems like a big overpay to me.

11 and 8 playing 30 mins a night, he’s young, plays really good defense, with improving numbers? Sounds like a solid starter.
