Yeah, crazy. Even though the tax rate is relatively high at 4.5% the assessment rate is ridiculously low at 0.0695

That town is a little off the beaten path for the really rich folks, the same place on the Vineyard might be double that.

I made some good money fixing the waterproofing on beachfront houses back in the day.

Nice places, but I'll never live on the water. If your house isn't built like a fucking submarine, water is going to get in.

S Dartmouth is gorgeous. I’d take that deep water dock over a vineyard home any day.
    Maintenance and taxes would suck.

I actually like waterproofing. It's like a chess game.

I really tried to talk wifey into moving to NorCal where I could spend my days fixing the deficient waterproofing in homes in the Sea Ranch but she said no. There's money to be made there, a lot of those homes have water coming in like the Titanic.

Why wouldn't that just be "Rock Island, Ely, MN"?

Pretty sweet and nicely fixed up.

That outdoor shower, even with "portable instant hot water," will separate the men from the boys when the temps get low.

Charming place, thatd be a nice cabin. Half dozen years ago I saw a place of similar dimensions, Lake Superior frontage in MI, list for 1/4 that. The premium twin shittys people pay for weekend cabins is insane.

I don't often love expensive cribs, but I would LOVE to rent this with buddies for a South Mountain bike party week.

I was about to say it is refreshing to see one that is actually well done for once- then I read who the architect was.

$13K prop taxes on a $9 million home is notable. I'm gonna guess this house has some kind of 'architectural preservation' associated with it.

You know you've made it when you have a cello casually sitting beside your fireplace.

What's the difference between a cello and a viola?

    A cello burns longer

Nobody cries when you cut up a viola. (Told to me by a classical violinist.)

Does that house also have a circular driveway? Tremendous effort not to have any right angles in the entire house.

Only other thing missing is a round bed.

That person must have grown up watching Nickelodeon. Or something.
