What a cool thread. I too miss Roo.
For historic events, I would love to witness Goerbles and Hitler shooting themselves. Not because I don't think it happened, because I want to cheer it.

Crystal Pepsi decision and the making of the Van Halen soundtrack "Right Now".

    Fascinating stuff. The 90's.

I'd like to witness the previous owner of my house planting Virginia Creeper and Bishops Weed in the landscaping. I'd also like to kick him in the nuts and tell him NO.

I like this one. In that vein:

    Mt. Shasta megaslide

    Yellowstone caldera eruption

    Cascadia fault 9+ rupture

    Chixalub impact

That’s a good one, but I’ll join John Wesley Powell on his trip down the Colorado.

I would also like to to intercept a certain Scottish lass who came to America and met a certain developer in Queens. Maybe that meeting could be averted.

I would like to see "the bloody Romans" in many of their battles.
Or the Greeks attack from the rear "this is Sparta"

Watching Hannibal charge the Roman lines with war elephants would be quite the site.

    Agreed
All of Hannibal's battles would have been something to see. The battle of Cannae would be incredible to watch where 50,000 Romans were slaughtered (20,000 taken prisoner) followed by his defeat in Carthage.

Scipio had used trumpets to fuck up the elephant formations...Bloody Romans

I'd watch the big bang from the outside, although that could break spacetime depending on your definition of history.
