    RIP Chris Kyle

Cant believe nobodys said jack shit about this

    Nobody read American Sniper?

Chief Kyle, 38, was a decorated Navy SEAL, who served 4 distinguished tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq, including the battle for Fallujah, and Ramadi, where insurgents nicknamed him "The Devil of Ramadi". He had more confirmed kills than any sniper in US history. Upon retirement, he dedicated his life to making life better for returning veterans... which he was killed doing yesterday afternoon.

Chief Kyle leaves behind a wife and two children. He was a true American hero and patriot. Rest in peace Chris

He knocked out Jesse Ventura, which was bad ass. Pretty shocked to hear he was killed, certainly not everyone's cup of tea but he was damn good at his job and seemed like a genuine guy from the interviews I've seen.

    RIP

Sad news ... Again, remind me why you would bring someone that is unstable to a shooting range for "therapy".

why does it matter where he brought the guy, the guy could have just as easily killed him with a knife or meat tenderizing mallet at a cooking class!?!
... jfost is really ignorant, he often just needs simple facts laid out for him...

The Pentagon said his skills with a rifle so terrorized Iraqi insurgents during his four tours of duty that they nicknamed him the “Devil of Ramadi” and put a bounty on his head.

    The insurgents never collected...
    Maybe someone just did...

RIP. Vibes to the friends and family. Truly a shame to see someone who has done so much for our country go down like that.

I would live to hear a few "insurgents"chime in here about that wonderful little devil name that sold him so many books. Yeah, right. Also, how many of his kills were really "insurgents", or just innocent civilians thought to be"insurgents".
Die by your own sword, indeed. It's a bit much how an executioner can profit from such a lowly profession.

    Read his book.
Learn about the rules of engagement he was operating under.
Now ask the families of Marines he was protecting in Iraq if he was an executioner?

If only he had been armed and duly trained to defend himself, he'd be alive today.

Oh, wait. He was and he was. Never mind.

Will Jesse Ventura proceed with the defamation action against the estate? I think Kyle lied about punching Jesse The Body as a means to promote his book about killing 155 people from hundreds of yards away. In the interviews Kyle's eyes get shifty when he talks about the alleged episode. Jesse seems credible in his interview.

I'm not going to read his fucking book. He should have lived a life of quiet integrity, and laid down his arms and joined society, instead of profiting from his murderous war stories.

And the Marines shouldn't have been in Iraq in the first place. Stop and think why some of the Iraqi people were so pissed he was there.

Rules of engagement. That's a hoot. Who wrote those rules? Cheney? Rumsfeld?

Wow, you guys are fucking dicks. I'm not a supporter of the iraq war, or many of our military adventures, but I'm not going to dance on this guys grave either like you fucking kooks.

Our servicemen have incredibly high demands placed on them, and are provided with very little resources or guidance in returning to civilian life. This man was trying to help people who have served our country (regardless of why the politicians sent them where they did) and risked their lives, and he was trying to help them heal, and you fuckers want to dance on his grave.

This is again, less about guns, and more about the lack of care for mentally ill in this country. The fact the mental illness was most likely caused by work conditions while theyoung man was doing a job for our government, and the man killed was doing his best to fill a gap in care caused by our government's negligence to provide such care, is sad and shameful, for our society and government. We need better mental health care for everyone in this country, but we should sure as shit start with our veterans.

I read some of the replies in this thread, and I think you anti gunners are closer to the mentality of people that do fucked up things than you'd like to admit. People who rejoice in displaying a lack of empathy for other humans alarm me. Maybe we don't need better care for the mentally ill, maybe our society is just fucked because its filled with people like many of the posters in this thread.

    You fuckers make me sick.

I am pretty damn sure if I had enough information about your life I could paint some pictures about just what it is you deserve. I doubt you live a life of quiet integrity. More like quiet petty villainy with a veneer of wholesomeness, like so many in this country.

You are a cunt and I do not value your opinion. I doubt you lead a life of quiet integrity either. I bet most of you fuckers go through life acting not according to a set of morals, but according to what you think is 'justified'. Looking right at you ice.

Why do you feel the need to tell others how to live their lives after military service?
Didn't a shitload of the profits from the book go towards his charities and what can be described as a his passion for helping returning service members with PTSD. I find that has integrity. He was also training military and law enforcement to help better protect us.

The Marines were in Iraq and as you appear to know politicians dictate policy, while service members do their jobs.

Such is the result of eliminating the draft and creating a professional soldier class that the rest of America lives through vicariously when it is convenient.

The draft didn't work so well for the Army in Vietnam.....even though I think I agree with what you are saying about more people serving and gaining that perspective.
