That salon article is not flattering. Most of what I've said still stands though, my earlier description of possibly misguided but undoubtedly selfless seems accurate.

Not really. It's obvious the writer did not read Kyle's book with an open mind and leave her liberal bias out of it. She cherry-picked many things from the book to suit her agenda.
I read the book with an open mind and drew different conclusions.
RIP Chris Kyle, but "live by the sword, die by the sword" is exactly right.

I saw a bumper sticker today that left me scratching my head and reminded me of this thread. It said: "Pray for our troops. Especially our snipers."
I found it just plain strange.
Yea, I don't really get that one either, but its the moto for larue tactical, which was founded by a former sniper I believe. They make stuff for precision rifles. I still don't really get it. Perhaps its in some way referring to the luck factor of precision practical shooting.

I am not a professional sheepdog, but when I heard what really happened on the 9/11 flights I thought, "man I wished I had been on that plane". Fucking box cutters?
Ohh and LEEEEROOOYY JENKINNNS bringing the funny.
RIP Mr Kyle. I can't fault the guy for being good at the position he was in. Ironic to say the least.
[TGRVIDEO][/TGRVIDEO]Education must be the answer, we've tried ignorance and it doesn't work!
I just read the first two pages of this thread. It's very full of![]()
"One season per year, the gods open the skies, and releases a white, fluffy, pillow on top of the most forbidding mountain landscapes, allowing people to travel over them with ease and relative abandonment of concern for safety. It's incredible."
Haven't read shit in this thread other than to OP. Posting here now to give Mr. Kyle his due respect. A man of stature few of us will ever obtain.
