^Nice! Looks like some fun terrain
Was down at the shop today and have the privilege to check these out. I'd love to try to ski them, but my broke leg thinks differently.

What the fuck are those things?
WTF...april fools joke?

^If you don't choose the bits of panther option, you can get them for 1400. Pretty nice considering.
Here's a lil BG stoke from last weekend. I am going to try an restrain myself from buying skis next year, but the 12/13 line is looking nice. Itching for both a tour version ski and the new wren.
Looks like some wild stuff, can't wait to hear whats going on with that oar. Anyone else think those tips look like the might be convex?
On another note, just got my P-fights in the mail. First time my skis have ever had cleavage. STOKED. Thanks Scott / Rowen et. al.

ON3P color! Those planks are almost bigger than my room.

Oar are not an April Fools joke, just a concept ski that Rowen has been wanting to build. His explaination can be read here - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater.
They do have subtle base convexity in the tips and tails which was a prelude to everything we have been working on for...
the new 12/13 Pillowfight.
It remains totally flat for most of the running length, so still gives you are 100cm of flat, stable, and carveable sidecut underfoot.
Then the convexity drastically jumps up right past the end of the sidecut and progressively decreases as you approach the tips, which is pretty close to flat again (in both tip and tail, with the convexity being more intense in the tips). There remains a flat section that runs the full length of the ski.
Then in the tail, we've added some camber to the rockered section which results in a super poppy tail that is a ton of fun (this was actually featured in the first pillowfights we ever prototyped as well).
Super, super excited to now have the capability to start pressing skis this way. We are still working on making it manageable to finish and bring everything up to speed from a production vs prototyping standpoint.
This isn't a final design, either, just for clarification purposes. We still have a lot of prototyping and design to work on, so right now our fingers are crossed that it is going to keep snowing in the PNW for awhile longer. Looks like it for at least the immediate future.

Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....
^ That's party Iggy. Nice regarding the implemented changes and I like the concept OAR too. Do the topsheets have any issues holding up with that snow saucer convex shape shown in your first pic?
Well yeah. Top sheet chipping. I have been known to chunk the shit out of my topsheets as I am kind of sloth like, but ON3P has held up very well in that regard. Just was looking at the image and how it has a peak and would think these might be more prone to chunking.
Not a big concern.
Ask me at the end of April and I will have a lot more to tell you about them. If we find they have chipping issues it will be something we address for sure.
BTW if you want to ski these, stop by the new factory sometime. They will be available to demo (12/13 191cm BG, too).

I'm as curious now as I was disgusted yesterday.
Training for Alpental
The central east side is so far away for my domesticated ass. I'll get there.
A few more photos of the PFs...
Tips
Underfoot - Totally flat
Tails
We are going to decrease the tail rocker a bit from what you see above and enhance the camber in the rockered tail section.

Those new PF's look super cool! And twisted
New PFs look fantastic, a more logical step for most buyers than the spoon, not to say that ski doesn't have a place too. Would be cool to see more progressive transitions: from flat profile to rocker, flat base to convex. Also, is the thinking behind the seemingly trapezoidal/non elliptical convexity to give more ski surface area that can be conventionally maintained?
Also, anymore updates on the BG tours? can't seem to find weights or reviews beyond 230g lighter than stock BGs Are these going to be a little poppier and lose a little dampening like most increased carbon versions?

Damn, my Pillow Fights just showed up on Monday! I guess you weren't ready to let the cat out of the bag yet when I asked about changes in next year's model.
TexGTX-
I don't think that the design has been finalized in anyway shape or form.
As far as the BG tours, does the new camber profile lend itself to a good amount of grip for going uphill? There is still quite a bit of ski off of the snow under skinning conditions correct?
