Well that did NOT suck! P2P liftline followed by laps of the alpine on Whistler, can't believe how few people were skiing peak! I'm glad the holidays are over.

No pictures, but I assure everyone today was delicious. Breakin' trail into reservoir trees and fraggle were definite highlights. Still dumping in the valley

I agree that today was awesome, plain and simple. Charging all morning with no line-ups to slow down the rhythm. It was like eating really good food really fast.

Yesterday got better as time went on, just skied trees off Harmony non-stop. Today on Blackcomb was fun, first lap down Fraggle then CBC over and over. Found nice snow in Zut Zut but couldn't see shit and was afraid of falling off something as was my first time there. Was dumping harder at Base II than top of Crystal when I left at 2:30, tomorrow will be good.

hi alpine lifts all opened today, but the crowds were insane

We tried to time the opening of Peak & Harmony, but didnt quite make it in time. We did however get opening laps on Symphony chair. 1st tracks on Piccolo face & Staccato glades were awesome ;D

Didn't try any fancy timing today; just skied down to Peak chair and hung out for an hour until it opened. Think I was on chair 3 or 4, untracked down Whistler Bowl then skiers left of Shale Slope. For a weekend after a few days of snow the crowds seemed about normal. Managed 6 laps of various Peak goodness then a tree run down to Creekside.

Good day today, got to Creekside Gondi just after it opened, line just outside the maze. Got to the top of red, straight to Peak, on about 5th chair. Got lucky when one of the guys on the first chair had a friend show up and gave up his spot. So in the end managed to get on the first chair with two snowboarders, therefore got first down whistler bowl, then a really fun step down traverse across to Christmas Tree's which contained some fast, deep, nicely textured snow top to bottom, really happy which my 1st chair choice.

Skied a bunch more laps through both sides of West bowl before ending the day with a crazy lap through Orange Trees, so deep and light (considering the elevation) and the far traverse was completely untracked at 1:30. Good Times.

Blackcomb was the the win today, crowds-wise. We barely waited in a single line. Anything that had opened yesterday was pretty tracked, but Spanky's was unbelievable when it opened. First run was Sapphire to Zut Zut, so deep! The Sapphire straighline entrance needs a bit more snow before it goes. In the afternoon, we did 2 awesome laps in Blackcomb Glacier. Showcase T-bar didn't open all day because they had to dig it out, so you were well rewarded if you were willing to do the 10 minute bootpack below the Stupids. Overall it was a great day!

I looked in the straightline entrance on Thursday and it looked like there was no tranny at the bottom? Never done it before.

Friday was my best day of the season yet, nice deep snow for many laps in on Red and VD in the morning, followed by a couple runs around Ratfink then we waited an hour for Harmony which finally opened a bit after 2pm, managed two super deep laps to end the day. Awesome snow quality loaded up in the trees on Gunbarrels and Hidden Chute. Couldn't go up today, but hoping things firm up for some sunny touring on Monday.

It's usually more filled in and there's no dropoff at the bottom. It's just a smooth straightline into the bowl. As it is now, it's a straightline to double-eject to faceplant but it's usually no big deal.

you talking about the high chute or the low chute? i know the low chute was good to go a few weeks ago, then the christmas storm ripped all the snow out of it. it was filled back in on thursday, but slid on me when i was in there (just the storm snow) and looked super sketchy again today.
if its the higher one then i dont know
