Yo; been lurking on and off for a year or two, but finally moved back to the mountains and decided to register. Kickass forum, really looking forward to drinking beer with some of you fools and maybe hike and make some turns too. And VERY psyched to see what La Nina brings us!

Hey, been here for a while, enjoying a lot of good threads, a lot of simply stupid(although fun) threads, and posted a couple of dumbass remarks in a couple of them. I´m not entirely sure if I´ve posted in this thread before or not, but figured it wouldn´t hurt that much. A couple of JONG remarks I can take.

    About me:
I just moved to Narvik, which is in the northern region of Norway, to do college and ride my snowboard quiver a lot at the same time. I run a little snowboarding accessory company, called Eira Snow. I´ll get you the address if you´re curious, but won´t post it here, because quite frankly I haven´t contributed to this community as much as I should, so I don´t think it´d be proper if I started self-promoting right away, or ever, for that matter.

I´m turning 22 this January, try to get as much days logged as possible on snow, like single malt scotch, snus, beer, wine, good food, and a nice NSFW thread every now and then.

Before I started snowboarding three seasons ago, I was a telemarker, and before then a slalom skier. Nothing serious, though. Found snowboarding more fun than skiing, and therefore have kept doing it.

Found this site through an online snowboard community buddy of mine, so cheers to you, Gary!

    Hello,

I have lurked here for a couple of years. Lots of good knowledge and tons of really kick-ass stoke. Anyway i'm moving from N.H. to Colorado in a couple of weeks. I have shitloads of time to ski in the next six months, and then its time to get a real job again. picking up a loveland pass and one other (can't decide between a rmsp or the colorado pass), plus plan to do some touring (mellow stuff, i'm pretty new to this).

The crazy thing is i have never been to colorado except once at loveland to ski wrod several years ago on my way to Utah, so I know absolutely nothing first hand. Would really like to hook up with a maggot or two to get the tour.

    Chow.

Hey, long time lurker, thought I would say hello to everyone. Lots of great pics are posted here and I am getting ready and excited for the new season. I've got a pas up at loveland again this year, living in Denver, so its an easy trip up the hill for me. Hoping to meet some of you guys up there and have a great season. Have a good one.

That's it! I'm done with newschoolers. This place has such a better vibe. I'm sick of 13 year old kids giving be advice about stuff they know nothing about.

    ...peep...
If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?

Hello everone. I, like most have been aquainted with the forum for quite some time. I am from the midwest, but recently moved out here to Colorado for school. UNC has a deal where I can get a WP/Copper pass for half price so I may go for that, but I still may get Loveland instead since it is closer to Greeley.

I have skied quite a bit on the midwest "hills" and about 6 or 7 times at Winter Park. I really enjoy alpine. I am comfortable on blues - dbl blacks, though I prefer steeps to moguls any day. I only have 2 knees, and I need them both!

I do not have any of my own gear yet. I am considering getting into telemark and I would love to hear advice/perspective from anyone who wouldnt mind sharing. Feel free to pm me, though I may start a thread on this.

Well thats more than enough for now,
    glad to be here.

Hey bout time I posted here. I'm a Chicago native, but I was lucky enough growing up to have a family that loved skiing--so I'd usually get around 20 days in in Wisc and the occasional 15 lucky days skiing in CO. I finally made it out to UT for school, and rode Alta/Bird for 4 amazing seasons until I finished school. I now am back in Chicago, stuck here until I can find career related work (film) that can once again get me back to the mountains. This forum is the only thing that helps me deal with being stuck in the flatlands. That and my awesome friends in UT that let me couch surf/borrow passes for a few weeks out of the year. Haven't hooked up with any mags yet, but I'm always looking for people to ski with both in the flats and out in UT. Hopefully I score an internship with TGR this year so I can get back to doing what I love.

Oh yeah and as far as skier type--I do it ALL! Flippy spinny things everywhere I can think of, big airs, high speeds--I love all of it!

Cheers mags and thanks for the help so far--hopefully I can contribute a bit more here soon!

Hey everyone. I found this site when i got sick of all the uber gay steeze bots over at NS. Im originally from NY currently attending Penn State. Ill be doing about a month of summit county bumming this year so ill be around the basin a lot. I'm comfortable skiing most terrain but don't have much experience on the real gnar. Ive been hawking this site for a while now and i know it can be brutal so i hope this an acceptable intro post.
