From Terje to Marcus Kleveland: Volcom Celebrates Three Generations of Norwegian Snowboarding

Despite its relative small size, Norway has produced an ungodly amount of iconic snowboarding talents, with the cold grey hills of the Scandinavian country producing icons of the sport like Terje and the seemingly superhuman Marcus Kleveland.

Volcom's new short film ATTUNGA: A Higher Place gives us an unfiltered look into the minds, upbringings, and sense of purpose of three generations of Norwegian snowboarders with Terje Haakonsen, Torgeir Bergrem and Marcus Kleveland.

Volcom–along with filmmaker and snowboarder Seth Huot beautifully–document these three distinct stories and personalities. Teje (44) the legendary purist, and forbearer of Norwegian snowboarding, the holistic competitor Torgeir (26), and the carefree ultra-talented Marcus Kleveland who landed his first triple cork at the age of 13, all represent Norwegian snowboarding and together realize a common higher place.
