Fatbike Street Trials: Taking Back Winter

If you've never ridden a fatbike and you've been wondering what all the fuss is about, perhaps this will clear some things up for you. What this video ISN'T is a Redbull-produced Rampage-type reel with a Red Camera following the guy's every move. What this video IS is a dude (who, in the interest of full disclosure, is a pro-motorcycle trials rider) getting out to his local parks and putting a chubby-wheeled bike through its paces, doing a damn good job and having fun.

Fatbikes are increasing in popularity in areas where the amount of winter snowfall totally precludes any other form of biking. The thick tires (which are sometimes studded) make it possible for the brave to bike to work or to tear up some single track after it's had a thorough dusting of that white stuff that's so important when using our other winter toys.
