Pure Fun. That’s how the Coreupt Slasher skis should be described. Richard Permin has designed one of the most versatile skis that I’ve ever used.
The Slasher skis (131mm x 112mm x 128mm) are great in pow, on groomers, in the air and anywhere else you’ll want to go during a day on the hill. The Slasher is quite possibly the best one ski quiver on the market. I have taken this ski everywhere on the mountain and it excels everywhere you’ll want to go.
The most ideal spot for the Slasher is as a backcountry freestyle ski. They’re nice and light, float effortlessly, the swing weight is spot on, they’re twin tipped, designed to stomp landings and the camber underfoot gives the rider some great pop. I had fun spinning these off natural features all over the hill and these bad boys will keep most riders happy. They’re extremely playful and smile-evoking sticks.
The only suggestion that I would have for Coreupt about these skis is to create a Slasher in a 194-196cm length with even stiffer construction for bigger riders who want to attack places like AK. This would be super sick! They wouldn’t be as great for tricks, but they would be ready for some serious big mountain ripping.
The Slasher’s clearly work well and a lot of people will instantly fall in love with them as I have, but something that makes them even better is the super low price. You’re just not going to find better skis for $600. Coreupt might not be the first brand that you think of when it comes to buying some new skis, but there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be. They’re one of the best values in skiing that I’ve ever seen. Check them out and you’ll be glad you did.
