Overview:
The Voyager is Zeal’s rimless lens to frame interface goggle meant for the ultimate peripheral vision and the quick exchange of lenses. They are made with Zeal’s finest lens with their high quality combo of materials used and shape design called Optimum Lens. They also offer 100% UV Protection; which is how the Voyager lines itself up to be a go to goggle for all weather days. I took advantage of this last week in deep powder cloudy days to hiking in blue bird conditions.
Use & Fit :
The Zeal Voyager design has multiple vents with anti-fog coating aiming to keep you from the frustration of fogged up goggles. Unfortunately my goggles did fog during a snowy powder day. Being rimless and vented I felt a considerable amount of moisture on the inside of the goggles from the deep turns. I believe that it was because of this moisture that I scratched the inside of these goggles so quickly.
The Voyager’s large peripheral vision lens shape and generous strap fit was slightly large for my small head. Yet they stay in place and are perfectly comfortable the whole day. Overall, the lenses on this rimless frame are styling and rocking a pair of these Zeal’s on the mountain definitely earns respect.
Pros:
I really enjoyed this multi use lens, taking advantage and being able to use them in all weather conditions is a huge plus. They style of the Voyager is great with the large area of vision and comfortable fit. Get these goggles if you crave peripheral vision and an all weather goggle.
Cons:
Deep powder days had my goggles taking in moisture. Lens durability is questionable with my personal experience of easily scratching the inside. If you have a small head I would try a pair on prior to purchasing. Avoid these goggles if you don’t want to risk fog on a powder day.
