Beware the tourists of Yellowstone... Actually, it wasn't really the tourist's fault this time. Normally, a tourist-bear interaction in Yellowstone would be followed by some sort of scathing comment regarding general gaperhood, bear safety and/or idiocracy. This summer thus far has been a gold mine for Yellowstone jokes. Satirical videos on how to survive a trip to Yellowstone have been surfacing across the web, and it seems just too easy a target to point a finger at tourists for not staying in their damn cars.

Well, this family did stay in their car, albeit rather unsuccessfully. Watch this bear terrify several young children and their parents in our first national park. Highlights include: a mother admonishing her kids for screaming when a 250-pound mammal tries getting into their passenger seat, and a small human in the back inexplicably crying "ow". Actually, the kids screams just all-around make this video.
Now added to the exponentially growing list of things to not do in YNP: leave your doors unlocked.
Happy centennial, folks.
