I'm doing a colonoscopy prep today and that is annoying enough. The fact that it is the second time I'm doing it this week makes it especially annoying. When I showed up Monday for my appt, the hospital informed me I had been rescheduled but they failed to tell be when they made the switch. 2 days of fasting and bowel cleansing this week has me super cranky...

Tile comes up with a wrecking bar pretty easy, especially if the underneath is rotten. You'll probably have to look up how to carefully remove the first row of wall tile. Find the joists from underneath and drill up where you are certain there is blank floor space on top then mark safe cut lines. You can get close enough to the joist to then see it and pry up the remaining bits of sub floor. You'll want an oscillating tool and a bunch of blades. For long cuts you can use your skil saw. Adjust the blade depth. If you have any small pipes that have floor all around and you don't want to redo those pipes, do what I did with my gas line. Cut a shape around the pipe and let that fall down below your floor. My shape will be there until the next owners decide to deal with it. I am most definitely a hack. And while I did one floor repair under the washer, I ended up paying to have two bathrooms fully remodeled because they needed everything. I highly recommend splitting the job up and hiring a plumber, or a tile guy, or whatever you're not comfortable doing. But go direct. You're the contractor.

Multitool is better for clean up, hard to reach spots, nails, and weird shit. Setting the depth on the skil saw for long cuts you know are safe is money. And you don't have to go all the way through. That happened to me years ago, but I was able to create a new legit account. Then a few years later I bought a new phone and my original username showed back up. BTW, don't use those shitty bimetal multi-tool blades. (Unless you're only ever going to cut wood or other soft materials.) If you even so much as think about brushing a screw or nail, well your blade is screwed.

The carbide ones from Bosch or a few other vendors are money. Yeah, they are like $6 a piece or more. But they laugh at nails, screws, staples etc.

And Youtube is a good friend for projects like yours. Plus you can ask questions here.
Lots of folks will help you figure it out.

Even the expensive "waterproof" YKKs can fail (looking at you Arcteryx)

My gripe with OR is their size is different between similar items, like a medium goretex shell is the same size as a large softshell. They've had some overall size creep over the years (as have most brands) too.

That's a spec that isn't obvious on any product. How does the consumer find out which zipper grade is used by a company or on a garment? How about Black Diamond First Light?

OR didn't make those zippers, YKK did. OR just uses them, along with numerous other outdoor companies. It's the cheap YKK, they do make better zippers than most but the softgood companies just can't help themselves but use the cheapest reverse-coil model for their products to keep the price down. I'm not a fan of that zipper and will not buy jackets, pants or sweaters that use them; they just don't last.

Maybe if you guys stopped opening your zippers like goddamn gorillas you'd have better luck. Zippers need to be treated gently, yet can handle the occasional rigorous treatment. They are like the clitoris of the jacket, if you will.

No, much like Donnie parachuting in with no frame of reference, an attorney got very fired up about language in a deal that was closed 3 years ago that I ran; language that was highly negotiated and without the knowledge of those negotiations he decided to go on a early morning hissy fit behind his keyboard.

I'd by lying if I said I didn't get some level of satisfaction when I dug up the correspondence from 3 years ago where the matter in question was negotiated and approved by all and sent it to the guy and followed up with a phone call to highlight his lack of context.
