Ah, so 4 super divisions by region and no AL/NL? Interesting.

I remember when PDX had the team that played where the Timbers do now (Beavers was it?); I think filling the gap between SF and SEA makes sense too. Would the city/region support it?

Montreal would be great as well, I think there’s still a pretty good fan base up there too.

PDX and Vegas were the two main contenders for Oakland and they have a sore picked out for the stadium. There’s a big MLB to PDX group that’s active around town.

The Battered Bastards of Baseball is a fun documentary about that Portland team. Kurt Russel played for them I think.

4 Super divisions would be awesome I think. Totally change the game so I’m sure all the classicists would hate it.

I think I remember that documentary. I’ll have to look for it again.

If MLB adds two teams I think it’s fair to say that one of them will have to come from the west and the other will likely be from the SE/Mid-Atlantic.

If they do go to 8 4-team divisions then all I ask is that the weighted component of the schedule doesn’t go up. I think we’re at 6-7 games against each division team now which is only a couple series. I like playing every team in baseball so anything that leads me to see my guys play the White Sox any more than is absolutely necessary would be a bad thing.

One division should just be the Pirates, White Sox, Royals, A's, Tigers, Marlins, Twins. They can just play amongst themselves for 80% of their games.

I think relegation should be a real threat if owners don't get their shit together.

I like relegation and promotion and If any major US sport could support such a system it would be baseball given the already in-place network of major and minor league tiers.

    That's pretty cool.

Ok, this just made my day and not sure how I missed it, but Shohei Ohtani said the one player he was most excited to share a dugout with was Jose Ramirez.

That's it, COME TO CLEVELAND SHOHEI!

If the Dolans don't send this guy a gift basket and a plane ticket then they're not shooting their shot. 71 games of Shohei where he is most certainly going to leave after the season may just be crazy enough to be worth it.

If the Angels decide to trade him he could. Beiber and a top prospect for Ohtani and a sack of peanuts. Do it.

Ufda, Texas is really really good.

We were doing so well for 6 innings and this rare bit of baseball history happened; B. Naylor and J. Naylor went deep in the same inning. Cuyahoga Bash Bros?

It was stunning to watch live surrounded by Mets fans, some I have known for 10 + years. I actually felt bad cheering at one point.

This team may be peak Mets.
Should be good, can be good, but so many ways to lose....

Speaking of, Danno, et al. "So Many Ways to Lose: The Amazin' True Story of the New York Mets—the Best Worst Team in Sports"
Book by Devin Gordon is a top read.
