I didn't see this mentioned in here (just a few vague references) but there's more than just one type of yoga. Some types are slow, restorative, and much less of a workout. Some are harder poses, more muscles involved, but still static. And some involve constant movement. Generally the first type has more of the spiritual mind/body stuff. So go find what works for you if the first place doesn't.
There's a core power yoga studio not far from my office, I may check that out soon.
