    Had already been discussed.

    GOAT arguments = zzzzzzzzz...

All any player can really be is the best of his era - the rest is just bullshit comparisons that can't really take into account rule changes, etc.

They're "zzzzzzzzzzzz" because there is only one answer, and it's MJ.

Other than that I do understand and agree with what you're saying, even if it's sounds contradictory.

if MJ were to ever totally choke and lose the championship

his fans would never ever take to the boards the next day claiming he is the best but he lost

    fucking so stupid

just like last year when lebron quit and decided to leave miami right after he choked and lost to the spurs

he stole the spotlight from the actual world champions... that was disgusting

This is what I imagine talking to digitaldeath about basketball must be like:

Heck with LBJ. Dubs fans are wondering if we're dreaming. The Dubs won 83 games. Shit - it used to take them 3 seasons to win 83 games. Amazing. Never in a million years (well, 40) thought it would turn out this well, even as they were doing it.

Dubs will keep everyone in the rotation except: Lee, Barbosa (maybe), and Mo Buckets (maybe). They will pay Draymond this summer. Next year, they will have cap room to pay HB and Festus. They may end up losing their First Rounder to get rid of Lee, but may get something of value (dubious value?) in return.

Overall, its looking good for them to stay good for a few years. Beats the crap out of desperately trading for Lance Stephenson...bwahahaha

True that. Remember when the biggest free agent we could land was Corey Maggette?

I'll be sorry to see Lee go. It's the wise move, but Lee has been a great Warrior. His passing and game in the post is wonderful to watch. He's also sneakily a tough player, even if his defense sucks. And he handled his demotion with aplomb.

Barbosa was great in the Finals. I kind of hate the aesthetics of his game (his shot is so damned ugly), but he was remarkably effective.

I'm guessing you've never actually interacted with actual Bulls fans. Or fans from the greater Chicago area.

somehow, I imagine that when the Bulls lost in 1995, fans were making excuses for the Bulls and MJ, and weren't saying "we lost so MJ isn't the best player in the world".

Clearly you don't watch nba, CP3 is the biggest whiner by far.

Queen James is an opportunist, not the first or the last either.

If he wanted to play for the Zers I'd be stoked.
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

If there was any year to ever win a title and then try to keep the team intact, the Warriors timed it perfectly with the huge salary cap jump thanks to the new TV deal. They have to let Lee go - partly because he deserves to get more playing time elsewhere after being a good soldier this year.

In the first round which LBJ hasn't done. He also never won without Pippen the very player best equipped to defend him.

    NBA 2014-15 Thread

Here's something I forgot about: Last season GS took the Clippers to game 7 without Bogut, and the word was that it would have been different if he was healthy, yet he didn't play in games 5-6 in the finals. Kerr can coach a few different styles.

Yes, Kerr works harder. studies more astutely, listens more attentively, and thinks better about adjustments than Mark Jackson ever did. He also avoids alienating the rest of the organization. What a difference!

I hope Bogut does not retire (damaged Niner fan here). I think it would be good for them to platoon Bogut and Festus for 2 years and draft (or trade DLee for) a project center for 2 years from now. Dunno where Kuzmic fits in, but ....he does have a ring...

Every team is a different match-up. Against the Clippers we needed his size - because you can't really play small when both Griffin and Jordan are on the floor (much like the match-up against Memphis). And Festus Ezeli was just coming back from an injury and had barely played all season. But yes, Mark Jackson was also very uncreative as a head coach. Good motivator but he doesn't know shit about X's and O's and he had too much ego to hire and stick with good assistants.

Yea, they were saying he just got back and he's not his old self yet, but wait until next year.

And the next season was that all-time great team when they won 72 games... so I'd say it was a pretty reasonable excuse.
