No, sorry did not see you guys. I had a green splitboard, my friend a brownish, black one.
Actually I think the snow was as good as it looks in the pics. (E-berg the day before was better/deeper though from what I heard)
We dropped east from the Chaiser down to Hinter Alp. (were planning on doing the Bannalper Rundtour, but the Sinsgauerjochli looked kind of wind blown on top, so we scratched those plans) It was absolut blower there, never touched hard ground.
After that we skinned up again. Dropped that face you see in the third pic with your skin track.
Contemplated for quite a while before dropping this 38 degree untouched slope. Because on top the wind has been in there. After digging a hasty pit and since we have seen no recent activity whatsoever in the area, we finally dropped it.
The first two turns were not that deep because of the wind, but after that it was really good.
The Chaiserstuel area is quite good after significant snowfall when you are unsure about stability (a bit too popular though). But there are quite a few flat spots that make a boarders life a bit harder. Next time I probably would go with my skis.
It was a very good day out though in my books.
