Way to bring the show on the road and not let Squaw management destroy the spirit.

I believe there should be a date to play GNAR at all mountains worldwide, so no matter where you go that day, it's GNAR day.

    Shane's birthday?

That was one of the best ski movies ever. You put the G in gnar (literally).

I really liked it. I think I generally prefer documentary-style ski flicks over music video-style ski flicks, although both have advantages. The backstory was great. I particularly liked the "stopping to piss in the middle of a gnarly line" concept.

I guarantee people will be watching this in 50 years remembering the wild and crazy old days. Then it will be someone's grandkid skiing up to some gaper saying I'm the best skier in this mountain.

Squaw could have had their own movie, but the life it took on became something Dick Barrymore would have been very proud of.

Thanks for making a quality movie. The movie was fucking hilarious. I really wanted to atleast interview to be in the movie, but then realized a couple weeks before the applications were due that it wasn’t going to happen having had my season pass pulled for the 2nd straight year in a row. It was kinda funny when I was sitting in the ski patrol office for skiing a closed line off the palisades (definitely wasn’t closed) with the head of ski patrol screaming at me telling me that “this is not unofficialsquaw, this isn’t squallywood, this is a ski resort with rules.” And then he went on to say that I would never ski at squaw again... which thankfully didn't happen. After that incident I almost could have bet on the GNAR athletes losing their passes after day 1. Glad to see that no one could stop the game of GNAR.

When our guys got their passes pulled by Squaw for skiing BN the mountain manager called me into his office. He was screaming at me -- "You think this is really fun do you. Well it would not be so funny if someones Dick got ripped off and Ski Patrol was out there picking up dicks."

    true story...

    Awesomeness.

I always thought I was pretty aware of what Shane gave to skiing but this put things in a different perspective. What a way to honor the man!

This is so awesome. Thanks for offering it for free, but if you get a "donate" link I will certainly throw down some cash via paypal. Give the cash to the Shane fund or to buy some of those guys passes or something.

Three of us at my work watched it at lunch today and we are all going to play tomorrow in summit county.

And FKNA, I'm the best rider on this forum!

^^^^ Mr. Gaffney, I think you just found your quote. If not I'd suggest: "just send it you pussy" from Ralph's story of day 1
