GFP and I plus 2 non-mags will be at Silverton. Possibly Telluride, but only if we can get some sort of a discount as there is no way in hell I'm paying $80 for a ski day. If there is no discount, GFP and his sis will probably still go to Telluride, and I'll be up for a tour somewhere.
Not on here much anymore. Drop me an email if you want to contact me. Have a wonderful winter!

SF- Check into this from the thurs/fri accomidations section:

    3) "Regional Lodge Pkg" at participating lodges - $45 lift ticket to T-ride.
Ouray(45 minutes to T-ride- This is about 45 minute drive over Red Mtn Pass, on the way to Telluride (about half way)), Ridgeway (30 minutes to T-ride), Rico (over Lizard head pass) and a few in Montrose (45 minutes to T-Ride)
You have to drive a lil, but...

I had done something similar years ago out of Ouray and it was a pretty good deal. Plus we got passes to the hot springs pool too. A room, ticket & pool for a decent price.

or check with ridhresko & see if his connections in T-ride will do. SILVERTON SUMMIT LODGING/ T-RIDE HUT COMMITTMENT TIME

Hm, that sounds enticing. Anyone else doing the regional lodging thing? The drive would suck (no post-ski partying in t-ride) but it's looking like the cheapest option for lift tickets.

My plans at this moment are to be there at the beginning for aspen - Sat to Tuesday. Work/family/finances really don't allow for much more than that, and besides, I am not good enough to ski Silverton anyway.. (:

So my tentative plan is to come out with spdfrk43 in the roadtrip, and then book a 1-way from denver back to nyc on wednesday. Just need xportation from aspen to denver.. another option is to rent a car one-way and drive back from colorado. Not sure if that's feasible, but I do like roadtrips..

Dude, I'd be up for that! We can split car rental and driving, make it up in no time!

I might be in for the aspen half of the week. Sat-Wed.

Is anyone working on lodging arrangements in aspen?

I think Karl Stall & Nitro (He'll be back in later this week) can point you in the right direction. Sounds like they have some good connections up there.

I'm hoping they will have some stuff to put up sometime this week.

A great option for anyone who feels intimidated by Silverton Mtn. would be Purgatory. It's just over the hill from Silverton about 15-20 miles. So you could still hang out and partake in apres ski debauchery.

Or perfect temporary houseguest... Eh? Eh? Eh?

(I'm flattered, btw. I don't think my food is THAT good, but I'll still cook for the chance to shower.)

    FZ,

You can put snowfire and I down for Silverton on the 29th, then Telluride on both the 30th and 31st. Staying in Ouray the nights of the 29th and 30th (working on strategy to smuggle PBR into the hot springs :-).

How many people are actually going to this year's Summit? It looks like about 15-20. Why so low this year? Is it because it's in CO?

About 40 people have reservations @ Silverton for 3/29. I hope that most of them are mags.

Depending on what happens roommate wise... I might have a little aspen area space... I'll post in a week or two, my roommate is moving out at the end of the month.

Damn. I was really hoping to go to this, but it's not going to work out with my treatment schedule and filming needs

FKNA right. Get it done. We could have a pretty decent EC crew for the Athpen days.

Guys, I made every phone call possible along with Snowmass Group Sales and the news is that the majority of Snowmass is already booked for those dates. As a result, finding any lodging at all, much less a fair price, is not possible from my end. I apologize and wish everyone luck.
