    Mini Explosives

So, that givers and takers thread got me to thinking.
I have a cheap pair of explosives (CMH blue & yellow vintage) that are pretty beat.
Does anyone want them for their kid? I'll cut them down and finish the backs, might be able to mod a chunk of metal onto there too (mntlion shared his mini ski secrets).
Shipping will probably be anywhere from 30 bucks to 50 bucks depending on where you live and how short you want them. $beer would be nice as well.
FYI, these have some big core shots and are for the most part not in that great shape. I'm sure you could ptex them and they'd be alright; besides, the edges are intact and they work fine anyways.
Because of the amount of use these have seen the tips are very soft, so I think this would be a neat kid ski.
PM me with a request or leave a response in this thread (latter preferred) specifying why you want them and what length you want.

Well established members preferred. Hopefully someone can donate some kid demo bindings to the cause and we'll have little rippers on mega-fat funshapes.

Very interesting concept flyby. Do you plan on just cutting off the tails and epoxying the layers shut at the end? You have me intrigued, I am curious to know how you plan on sealing them off after the cut.

I just sent to CP1.....I am going to talk on his behalf though (hopefully he chimes in). We have discussed mtnlions thread alot. We both have extra Exp too (so could do it ourselves if we had the right tools). His 5 year old will definately need a pair of these soon (maybe in a year or two would be better). Kid skis both days every weekend and is rippin'. (started him at 1.5 years).

Even if you send to someone else (maybe an 8 or 9 year old).....please post pics!

    Mtnlion.....Have any mini's skied the baby bros???/

I'm definatly interested. Huckwheat and I have been bouncing this idea around for a while now. I would need to figure out the size. I would want them a little bigger than what he's on now so he could use them when he's 6 and hopefully 7. They would get plenty of use as hand me down's too as he's the oldest of three. Plus we have a lot of friends who just had kids....Huckwheat. Beer$ and shipping sounds too good to pass up.

Mntlion I am sure my son would love to try them but we won't be down to Banff anytime soon. He is skiing a 110 so it would fit perfectly. I'll let you know when we head down that way.
Move along nothing to see here.

I'm going to have to remember this thread in a couple years. The little one's too small this year, maybe spring next year but for sure the season after she'll be hitting the slopes.

I suppose mini 'sploders might be a bit too aggressive for your very first ski?

Sweet. What size are the originals? I got 190's at home so if they are the same, I'll take some measurments tonight and PM you with the details.

That is very cool. You should do a making of mini-ripper skis TRs!!

I promise to do a TR of Logan (mini CP1) shredding on them!

Mine are 180's, but they should measure roughly the same as the 190's so go ahead and shoot me a length. I can probably have these out by Monday if I try hard enough.
