new PM gear mini maggot pro ski

So splat gave me a prototype pair of PM gear skis a few years ago. They where the supersofts, and I loved em. The construction sucked (it was the 3rd pair from the factory?) and the flex was stupid soft, a bit of double camber, but after a few years they delamed too from overflexing.

So, what to do with them?

A lot of the maggots in the calgary area are breeding now and have mini maggots running around, or starting to run around. Skibee and I are not having kids, and for the most part I don't like kids, but I'm looking forward to talking the kids out skiing, show them how to huck off shit, ski fast, take chances, and all the other things that a mini maggot should do

So, cut off the skis to 90cm. The holes you see are the old toe holes.

grind the tail flat and smooth

    JB weld a tail cap.

find the balance point and mount 3cm ahead of that. (bindings from jetski, thanks)

now I have some loaner, kids, fat skis. Infact they are a funshape, like a pontoon at 125, 110, 100 and 90cm.

i have a 3-year old that would love those..

....just as much as he'd love any other ski i put him on.

so i guess i really ought to say that i have a 3-year old who's daddy would love to see him ski on those.

too bad i'm in the wrong part of north america.

Pretty awesome. But a safety strap and/or good breaks are really really helpful for kids, they're going to lose skis guaranteed and you don't want a PM Gear, 90cm rocket...

I'll be bending the brakes to fit the skis, just need a small boot to click into the ski first. skibee's size 3 nordica aggressor 150 might work

and I have a Volkl explosive in a 110 as well, its out on loan right now.

So if anyone is coming to banff, and can use the skis. PM me

    10K BIATCHES!

    Fuck that celebratory 10K shit.
I was gonna post some good hooker shots (well, I still might).
But this is it, right here. Thanks, Dave (always da mang)
Cause those were the very first pair of skis we made -
and today I finally snapped some shots of the new models.

I think it's fitting that 10K is a retrospective of where we've been and where we're going. Here's some of the new topsheets on skis. Just a couple I grabbed today. We still have some 169s and rockered 186 and 196 on the way after testing, along with the supersalmons skinned for PM Gear distribution. I'm really stoked on the most excellent job the drugged monkey did on this years tops.

Cool thing is we got the weight of the 192s below 5 lbs.
