At the 17th annual Dick's Ditch Classic at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort this weekend – Jackson's homegrown version of the banked slalom – racers of all ages and both boardsports careened down the longest banked slalom race in the nation, boosting off jumps and slashing around gates, all to the enjoyment of a cheering crowd that gathered for the excitement.
The course winds its way down Amphitheater Bowl through natural and man-made terrain that forced competitors to stay nimble throughout the insane, thigh-burning run, especially on Sunday, when overcast and raining/snowing conditions kept the course deadly firm.
