Simply put, if you’ve never skied at night, we suggest you go out and do it right now. Hey, there’s even a full moon tonight, so that sounds like a great opportunity! Our friends over at El Flamingo made a short film to celebrate this unique experience. Skiers Max Kroneck and Jochen Mesle head up into the alpine above their hometown in the Austrian Alps in search of solitude and pow turns.

The film was shot entirely without artificial light, which presented its own set of challenges. The team spent over a week of shooting in the cold in the dark, hoping for clear skies to tap every last lumen of light from the moon. The result is a stunning look at a special kind of skiing.
Some of you might have been on a full moon ski tour before. It's a really special vibe which is hard to describe when you haven't experienced it by yourself. With this movie we wanted to capture that feeling of being out there skiing in a clear full moon night. There is not much that distracts you from the pure beauty of the mountains.
