Bike, swim, climb, repeat—that's what Jackson, Wyoming, local Kelly Halpin is all about.
Halpin has a thing for these feats called Picnics. A Picnic is when you bike, swim, and climb your way up a mountain, and then do it all in reverse in one epic and ultra-grueling push.
"I feel like we are on this planet for a short period of time and it's silly to not spend your life pursuing your passions," Halpin says.
In this film from REI, she completes the Teewinot Picnic. She bikes, 23 miles, swims 1.3 miles, hikes 3 miles, and climbs 6,000 feet of vert to the summit of Teewinot, then repeats it all on the way home.
This short premiered at the 5Point Adventure Film Festival last weekend. Now it is live for your enjoyment.
