Nearly four years shy of its hundredth anniversary, Lahout's Ski Shop is undoubtedly the oldest ski shop in America. Yet minimizing it to simply a store with an impressive history would be a vast understatement.

With 93-year-old Joe Lahout Sr. at the helm and a brood of children and grandchildren with his and the store’s namesake, Lahout’s Ski Shop is an East Coast institution, and one with four generations to back it.
