Some seriously advanced technology has made its debut in the Swiss Alps, allowing easier accessibility to handicapped people and children. The new 6-seater chairlift at Klosters-Madrisa Mountain Resort uses a laser-powered size recognition control system that "lifts small children and monoskiers to the correct seat height to easily load onto the chair. An automatic locking clip allows the special skiers to use the chair lift by themselves."
The ski lift also uses one of the most energy efficient lift motors in the world. ABB
“If you bring disabled people to the mountains, our technology enables them to go skiing."
