Industry Nine Drops Plus-Sized Wheels, Fatter Trail Rims–Interbike 2015

The mad producers of wheel candy over at North Carolina's Industry Nine had a booth with enough different color schemes to convince you that you were in the Wonkaland of bike wheels, and I9 was putting out some cool wheels, including the Big Deal 100 mm-wide fat bike rims and the Trail S price point trail rims with steel spokes, which get you a pair of the brand's wheels for under $1000.

Industry Nine also rolls out an updated version of their Trail 245 wheels that are slightly wider and feature flared bead hooks to decrease impact damage with no change to weight. They also rolled out their first plus-sized rims, the Backcountry 450's, built to accommodate 2.8-3.0" tires. Be sure to check out MTB Editor Gunnar Waldman's review of Industry Nine's Torch Trail bike wheels if you're not as familiar with the brand.
