If you've ever been a bit hesitant to try mountain biking you'll be inspired by 82-year-old Alf. He was motivated to learn after recovering from cancer, when he needed an outlet to get fit again.
His son, who knew that his father was an avid road cyclist in his youth, brought him a mountain bike to try out. He was hooked. His advice: you don’t have to do anything crazy when you’re first learning—he was 70 when he started. The bigger picture is about having fun. But most importantly he argues, you’re never too old to start.
