Powderhorn Corbet Jacket Review

When living and riding in Jackson Hole, you quickly find out that you need a quality, reliable shell to combat the harsh winter weather and copious amounts of powder. The Powderhorn Corbet Jacket offers that and much more. Its GORE-TEX® 28,000mm Soft Shell 3-layer fabric is unlike anything I’ve ever experience in a jacket before. With this jacket, I stay high and dry in wet weather and chill-free in extremely windy conditions. It’s no wonder it’s the official Powderhorn Freeride World Tour jacket for guys.

Usually I find myself overheating when wearing waterproof and wind resistant jackets, but in the Corbet Jacket I was pleasantly surprised that I remained just as comfortable while snowboarding on cold mornings as I did mid-day. Even when I found myself tomahawking down a line in two feet of powder, the removable powder skirt with gripper elastic and the internal cuff hand-gators keeps the snow out and the warmth sealed in. And when you thought this jacket couldn’t offer anything more, the waterproof zippered pockets allow any rider to not stress about iPods or cell phones getting wet or damaged. There are not enough good things to say about this jacket, Powder Horn has dotted every “I” and crossed every “T” in the design and execution of this product. It speaks for itself. I would recommend this jacket to anyone who is looking to stay dry. Simply put, this is a top of the line product.
