Vallnord-Pal Arinsal Ski resort in Andorra is crying foul play on the discovery of snipped cable lines throughout their premises. On Monday, employees doing routine maintenance discovered a cable that was clearly manipulated. It prompted further inspection of the lifts, in which they found multiple instances of destruction. According to Ouest France, the local authorities classified the damages as intentional sabotage. It is believed that a radial saw was used to slice the cables. Josep Marticella, the director of the resort, has assured the public that the resort will still open for the season on December 1st.

While Andorra may be a tiny principality between France and Spain, it’s got some impressive big mountain skiing. The resort is set to host Fort Blana, an International Ski Mountaineering event, this January, and nearby Vallnord-Arcalis will host the FWT again in March.
